Extremely rare battle shield of the Kwoma in the Washkuk region in the Upper Sepik. I bought this shield at “Village Art” in Port Moresby in 1984 and it has been in my collection ever since. You can find a comparable piece in the rare book “SHIELDS OF MELANESIA” by Harry Beran and Berry Craig.
