Long, antique Bauhaus necklace circa 1920-1930.
Broad aluminium, Bakelite and wooden links. Rare, marbled, white Bakelite beads.
The wooden beads presumably originate from Bauhaus designer Josef Hartwig, who designed such wooden patterns for Bauhaus circa 1923 to 1926.
Largest aluminium link 4 cm x 3 cm, largest Bakelite link 4 cm x 3 cm, largest Bakelite bead 3 cm x 2 cm, largest wooden bead 1.7 cm x 1.5 cm
Length fastened 52 cm, open approx. 100 cm,
The necklace is in a very good, uncleaned condition
and in my opinion is a museum piece well worth collecting.
