A wonderful sculpture of the Greek goddess Aphrodite from the studio of the Van Paridon brothers.
in a very distinctive green colour with bronze/gold accents. The goddess of love and beauty is beautifully stylised. The sculpture dates back to the early period between 1900 and 1920 from the studio in the Rozenstraat in Amsterdam. The nude with robe has very nice details and is made of Paridur, a composite of plaster and synthetic resins. The sculpture is signed with GvP and number 574.

In good general condition; over the past century, this (almost) perfect female figure has virtually no signs of age-related wear..
