We can observe an interesting dorsal reliquary cavity

According to the Mambila beliefs, Mambila figurines are supposed to personify the ancestors who are responsible of the tribe’s prosperity. These figurines, standing on their short bent legs, present a large head which face may be surrounded with wooden studs.
