Medal commemorating the 50th anniversary of Giuseppe Garibaldi’s Expedition of the Thousand in Sicily.
Obverse: “Ai prodi cui fu duce Garibaldi” The centre features the eagle of Palermo clutching a ribbon with the letters SPQR above three rosettes.
Reverse: Marsala Calatafimi Palermo. The centre features the inscription “Nel culto delle sacre memorie degli ideali eroici- La Riforma - Novara 1910”

“La Riforma” was a newspaper of the Associazione Radicale of the Province of Novara, which promoted the creation and distribution of this medal.
