Jan Sirks (Rotterdam 1885 - 1938 Zeist), signed in pencil (bottom right), coloured etching. In a simple wooden frame with mat and glass plate.

Jan Sirks (Rotterdam) was a Dutch graphic designer who mostly painted, water coloured, drew and etched in the Rotterdam harbours, of animals, cityscapes and landscapes in a romantic realistic style. Sirks was co-founder of the Rotterdam artist group “De Branding”. Despite the fact that Sirks was an autodidact, he was one of the few artists from Rotterdam who did relatively well in the art world (source: Wikipedia).
