Roman Empire, 1st - 3rd century A D, Eastern Mediterranean area
Stamp seal with oval and slightly convex seal base.
Lion with a large mane standing to the left,
its tail semi-circularly pulled upwards.
Above, a floating bird
A wedge as a filling element between the legs.
Haematite 13.3 mm x 10.8 mm x 4.9 mm
Condition: Intact and uncleaned

and has been legally acquired and administered in the 1970s.

It was examined on 19 June 2015 by the Ministry of Science,
Research and Culture in Stuttgart / Undersecretary Uhlmann.
