Raimon Roca Ricart was born in Vic in 1917.
Established in Sabadell as of 1922, he undertook her artistic training there, continuing it in the Escuela Superior de Bellas Artes of Barcelona, after a forced parenthesis due to the war. He was a disciple and collaborator of Antoni Vila Arrufat, who initiated him in the techniques of mural painting and stained glass.
In 1941 he held his first solo exhibition at the Academia de Bellas Artes of Sabadell, followed by others in La Pinacoteca of Barcelona, in Bilbao and in Madrid.
During the 50s and 60s he devoted himself intensely to mural painting, carrying out various religious ensembles in Begur, Sant Martí de Provencals, Hevia (Asturias), Calella de Palafrugell, Sabadell, etc., as well as various decorations of civil nature.
He also designed stained glass. He made monotypes, screen prints, paintings and works on paper.
In 1968 he resumed the practice of easel painting, with a succession of exhibitions in Sabadell, Barcelona, Palafrugell, Llafranc, Bilbao and Castellar del Valles, being the latter the town in which he lived since 1947.
His subject area consists of landscapes, frequently from El Vallés, portraits and figures. He interpreted these motifs within a formal Impressionism, of great technical correction and compositional solidity, wisely handling light and colour in sober and well structured ensembles.
