Extremely rare and unobtainable internal typed report of the Italian Navy Ministry by Corvette Captain Quintino Bonomo, very close friend of Guglielmo Marconi and pioneer of wireless telegraphic and telephone military experiments on Italian soil at the dawn of the 20th century. Report from 1901 printed in very few copies for internal ministry use. This makes this document very valuable and rare for collectors. The report highlights the limits of the very first "Marconi devices" and suggests improvements and illustrated technical and functional experiments. These are the first experiments that will lead to an extraordinary technological evolution that will inaugurate the foundations of our current communication model.
Cav. Quintino Bonomo was one of the most cultured and distinguished officers of the Regia Marina. At a very young age he was among the most respected professors in the R. Accademia Navale, and his colleagues and pupils of the time still remember with infinite affection their good, wise, and attentive teacher! After specializing in underwater electricity and radiotelegraphy, he compiled the Recorder for the radiotelegraphic service of the Regia Marina, which has been so appreciated that is still currently used. Marconi valued the ingenuity of the officer very much, and he was very close to him. All of Bonomo's life was dedicated to the very noble purpose of increasing the lustre of the glorious and victorious Italian Navy, and this would be enough to erect the most beautiful and lasting monument in the minds of Italian in his name.
