In good condition, a beautiful and unique wall piece; a painting on wood coated with lead and then painted and finished with gold leaf, by visual artist Juul Kortekaas (1950). The gold leaf is 23.75 kt. Including luxurious wooden casing and a description.

Measurements:
Art object - Height 22.5 cm x Width 9.5 cm x Depth 2 cm.
Wooden chest - Height 26.5 cm x Width 14 cm x Depth 4 cm.
Weight: approx. 1.4 kg

Commissioned by the company Robertson Associates, a European company for International Executive Search, as an executive business gift.

Background information:
Juul Kortekaas (1950) studied at the Royal Academy of Art and Design in 's-Hertogenbosch from 1968-1973. She graduated in plastic design as well as in graphic design.

She settled in Middelburg in 1984. Her work is very diverse: small bronze, stone sculptures, pieces made of iron and of lead (like the tulip blocks, for which she is known). She also makes paintings, of tulips, among other things ("The tulip and its interesting history has stolen a piece of my heart.") Source: Wikipedia.
