Minerva with helmet, spear and shield rides a lion. Initials: ZMBV. Within illustrated frame. Motto: Virtuti omnia parent. (Q34 - Z845) in the colophon.

Nineteenth-century light-blue cardboard binding with title on tag on the leather spine. Text on two columns, numerous animated drop caps. At the beginning of each book, a portrait of the poet with laurel wreath, in the act of writing in his study. The first 4 unnumbered sheets are missing, including the cover page, otherwise complete: 21(1) cc. Restoration with coeval paper on the first sheet. A water stains affects the far edge of the last pages (see photos). Large handwritten note on the last blank sheet. Choix de Olschki,IV,4682 for an edition also by Bonelli, 1562 - Brunet,III,314 for the first Venetian edition, Scoto, 1544 with these comments and the reprints of Bonelli starting in 1559.
