Patrick GRAINVILLE was born in Villers-sur-Mer, Normandy, 1 June 1947. He is the author of twenty novels, amongst others, Les Flamboyants, Prix Goncourt, 1976, and La Joie d'Aurélie, 2004. He dedicated himself to many monographs of many painters.
Lucien CLERGUE was born in 1934 in Arles, in the Provence, and has always lived there. He focussed on photography since 1960 and has so far published more than seventy books and has exhibited in the biggest museums in the world. The Rencontres d'Arles, which he created in 1969, dedicated a tribute exhibition for the occasion of his 70th birthday in the summer of 2004.
Gérard SIMOËN was born in Paris on 17 April 1949. He lives and works in Villeneuve-sur-Yonne and has participated in numerous exhibitions in France and abroad since 1071.
