A selection of Viking round beads, modelled in geniuine amber from the Baltic shores. Such bead might have been used as a part of a necklace or bracelet. Amber was a treasured material by the Vikings, used not only for crafting beads but also for pendants, amulets, gaming pieces, spindle-whorls, and finger rings. The bead is pierced for suspension.
