Plesiosaurus was a member of an extinct genus of sea-reptiles. Plesiosaurus was one of the earliest discovered ones, along with Ichthyosaurus and Mosasaurus.
Famous collector Mary Anning found the first fossilized remains of the animals in 1821, near the shores of Lyme Regis. This vertebra was also found at this location, which has become world-famous by now. Such items are rarely put on offer.
Very good quality with minimal restorations, mainly to its protrusions.
