Ancient Greek, Hellenistic Gold Loop Earring with a Bulls' Head - (1)
Circa 3rd-2nd Century BC

A finely rendered single Greek Hellenistic gold earring formed from one twisted circular wire, which tapers to a point. The start of the wire has been attached to a bulls head terminal, made from gold sheet. The tapering point closes the earring by hooking on to a loop, below the animal’s throat.

This earring is suitable for modern wear with a modern hook or stud applied. Please consult a professional jeweller for any alterations.

Measurements: 1.8cm height, 2.94gr

Provenance: From the collection of a London gentleman, 1980s-90s.
