Conductor's baton - Silver plated, Wood - Late 19th century

A fine conductor's baton, made of an ebonised light wood variety, finely tapered and embellished with silver plated fixtures, bordered with embossed grain motif, presented in its original bespoke case measuring 54cm in length and marked Mahillon & Co., London. Mahillon was an instrument maker from Brussels who started in 1836 and opened offices in London in 1844.

Condition: Very good, no damages or repairs.
