Jean Deldevez (1910-1983), French painter of Montmartre - member of the Outsider Art School,. Deldevez was also a member of the Independent Painters of the Butte Montmartre, an informal group of artists in Paris.
There are two periods in Deldevez artwork, the first traditional, in the style of the landscapers of the Butte such as Maclet, the second, from 1960 onward, where he worked in a more modern style, often similar to Art brut.
Featured in the major exhibition "Les Singuliers de l'art" at the Paris Museum of Modern Art from 19 January to 5 March 1978.
