Rare Celtiberian Bronze Brooch
Circa 2th century BC – 1nd century BC

A Celtiberian bronze bow brooch, with original pin intact. The brooch displays some earthly encrustations and green patination to the surface.

The Celtiberians occupied the central-eastern Iberian Peninsula (modern Spain) during the final centuries BC, until the 1st century BC when the area was colonised by the Romans.

Measurements: 2.5cm height, 4.2cm length

Provenance: From an important private Spanish collection, JV Gallery, Madrid, acquired 1970-90s.
