A substantial rounded Byzantine hollow grey ceramic vessel with domed top and conical base intended to be filled with the explosive liquid known as 'Greek Fire' and used as a hand grenade.

Measurements: 12.8cm height, 8.4cm width

Provenance: Ex private UK collection, acquired 1990s.
