A fine Sumerian-Near Easter restrung necklace composed of lapis lazuli cylindrical long beads, reputedly from Ur.
Sumerian people valued jewellery as a sign of social status and a way to express wealth. Sumerian jewellery usually consisted of carefully carved beads from natural elements, such as wood, stone or shell.
Measurements: 29cm half length, folded.
