A Near Eastern Western Asiatic gold bead, featuring a rounded shape, indented to form a vertical ribbed pattern. The bead has been pierced longitudinally for suspension.
Such bead would have been part of elaborate necklaces or bracelets. Jewellery played an important role across many Near Eastern civilisations. Gold necklaces, rings, earrings and bracelets would have been worn in everyday life but also buried with the deceased.
