Unique and original watercolour on Francesco Strevella’s drawing. A very evocative work depicting the unique Alfa 33 Stradale in blue colour, produced by Alfa Romeo. This special car is depicted next to a helicopter to recall its history. In fact, the special colour was requested by the first owner, Count Corrado Agusta, the founder of the historical aircraft industry with the same name. This element also determines the title of the work:
‘La fuoriserie del conte’.
Painted with watercolours and acrylics on fine 340 g cotton paper.
Frame is not included in this lot, it is shown for illustrative purposes only.
Francesco Strevella was born in Naples (Italy) in 1977. He graduated from the Liceo Artistico in his city and humbly calls himself a self-taught artist. The idea of combining his love for drawing with his passion for classic cars was born in 1999, when he bought his first vintage Alfa Romeo and fell madly in love with the retro and refined aesthetics of these splendid creations of human ingenuity.
His subjects are mainly Italian icons from the 1940s-1970s.
His ‘self-portraits’ are displayed in many private collections in Italy, France, Germany, Holland, Austria, USA, etc.
The lot will be delivered with tracked shipping. Proper safe packaging is guaranteed for shipping.
