Personal or travel alms box used by a single clergyman, in rosewood inlaid in silver with chiselled cherubs. The box is open, with the original lock and the wooden hinge. There is a gap on the top, perhaps a decoration on the slot. In excellent condition, but the key is missing. Made in Southern Italy, probably in the Neapolitan area in the first half of the 19th century.
