Mindimbit Masks and Figurines are remarkable for their finely detailed sculpture.
Their designs are similar to that painted on participants in initiations and other ceremonies.
Mindimbit is a big, well maintained village located in the Middle Sepik, next to the confluence of the Korosameri River. The Upper Mindimbit village is a seventh-day Adventist. This is not the case of the Lower Mindimbit village.
There are a few populations’ movements between both halves.
Both groups carve figurines and a few masks.
