Phoenician Silver Diadem with Central Repoussé Bust
Circa 6th-4th century BC

A sheet silver pentagonal diadem frontal with repoussé detailing, punched-point borders separating three scenes. To the left, a man fighting an animal, most likely a lion. Within the centre is a facing male bust with strong features, band to the brow. To the right is a standing facing female figure.

Measurements: 7.9cm length

Provenance: Property of a North London gentleman; previously in the private collection of Mr S.M., Mayfair, London, formed 1970-1999.
