Circa 2nd - 4th century AD

A delicate Roman gold necklace comprised of figure-of-8 and loop links, interspersed with delicate, rounded green and natural-coloured glass beads. Beautiful iridescence to the beads.

Chocker type necklaces, such as this, have been recorded in material culture from Romano-Egypt, signifying the style was popular here. They would often have a hanging pendant attached to them also.

Measurements: 15.5cm, folded length. Chocker size.
