A rare Late Period Egyptian scarab made of Rock Crystal, most likely used as an inlay due to the flat reverse. Decorated naturally with incised lines to suggest the beetle's closed wings.
Rock crystal was a highly prized material to the Egyptians, due to its scarcity.
