The Summitomo art prize was awarded to the "New York" screen print project at the 5th international triennial competition in Osaka.
The New York project is based on a newspaper photo that shows an image of Rockefeller Plaza from the ground.
The 1st work (paintings) dates back to 1981 over the years, several alternatives have been implemented. e.g. in cardboard reliefs.
The New York project consists of a series of 56 screen prints. All 56 screen prints show the same image, but always in a different colour scheme.
New York was printed on 300 grams Steinbach /Malmedy paper. Inks used: Wiederhold and Pröll
Dimensions screen print are 30 x 30 cm. Dimensions image 27 x 27 cm.
