LBD - Potagière and légumière (2) - Silverplate

Description
LBD - Potagière and légumière (2) - Silverplate
England - First half 20th century

Nice set of a soup terrine and a vegetable bowl. It's still not clear to me what LBD stands for (other than little black dress) but the M mark was used in Birmingham in the early 1900s. And that may be true, since the last mark seems to be the English coat of arms. However these are only assumptions... But it remains a nice, heavily silvered pair of items, very decorative, but also ready for use.

Soup terrine: height 18 cm and diameter 25.5 cm

Vegetable bowl: height 8.5 cm and diameter 22.5 cm

Neatly polished. The bottom of the soup terrine has some silver loss, but not bothersome given the age. Condition and dimensions can be seen in the photos.

Sturdy packaging and shipped with insurance.
