A ship souvenir brass bell and striker within oak wheel frame and oak base labeled “M.V. Charon”. Height 19 cm.

MV Charon was built in Dundee, Scotland, in. The ship was When MV Charon returned home, it plied the British coast through the 50s and 60s.

• In Greek mythology, Charon was the Ferryman of the Dead, an underworld demon in the service of Hades.
