Saint Louis - pencil cutter or empty pocket model Nelly Empire gilded with fine gold - Crystal

Description
Saint Louis - pencil cutter or empty pocket model Nelly Empire gilded with fine gold - Crystal
France - 19th / 20th century

St Louis crystal brush dish, gilt Nelly Empire model.
The format is ideal as a desk trim to store pencils or as tidy.

Nelly is a beautiful "frosted" model, gilt with fine gold in Empire style motifs - palmettes and lambrequins.

Piece dating from the early 1900s, it does not have the signature of Saint Louis, the crystal factory began to affix its acid-etched stamp in 1936. Gilt palmettes decor is repeatedly present in the 1908 catalogue.

Our piece is in excellent condition. The gilding is fresh, a micro-chip on the edge, very insignificant.

Length: 24.6 cm
Width: 8.6 cm
