Baccarat - Alcohol flask for hunting Crown of Comte solid silver cap circa 1850 - Crystal, Silver
France - Mid 19th century

Perfume bottle or alcohol flask for hunting, in Baccarat crystal, Cannelures model in the Louis XVI style, part of a Napoleon III period toiletry set, mid-19th century circa 1860.

Beautiful model in strong cut crystal with cut-off sides, guilloché silver lid decorated with a rocaille cartouche adorned with an MB monogram topped with a Count's crown.

The cap has the boar mark equivalent to the (950) Minerva 1st grade.
The inside of the cap is made of vermeil (solid silver gilt with fine gold).
The goldsmith's hallmark is located at the bottom of the cap (we could not photograph it).

The whole is in very good condition. (chip inside the cap). A beautiful witness to the daily refinement of the aristocracy during the 19th century.
