Excellent condition - barely used with minimal signs of aging & wear - 770 g

A fine Empire style inkwell made by the Portuguese silversmith Manuel José da Nobréga of Oporto

The inkwell is marked for Nobréga, Oporto, 1810-1818, with a silver fineness of 854/1000

The inkwell was made during the Peninsular Wars or just after, at the beginning of the reign of king Joao VI

The inkwel set contains:
- tray
- table bell
- pencil box
- detachable candle holder
- penholder
- sand castor
- inkwell holder with the original lead inkwell inserted

The tray measures 19 x 13 cms

The inkwell is made from heavy gauge silver and weighs 770 grams gross

All components are in very good antique condition
