Pair of putti
Naples, Neapolitan school, second half of 18th century
Legno da frutto scolpito, stucco e colori ad olio.
Pair of finely carved, stuccoed and oil-painted putti. One expressing ecstasy, the other expressing blissful delight. They show several missing anatomical parts, but it was decided not to operate on them through an arbitrary restorative integration. They are offered after consolidation, disinfestation and minimal conservative pictorial integration of areas with gaps.
In addition to their intrinsic artistic qualities, they also possess outstanding and remarkable decorative features, even in a modern and contemporary environment or exhibition context.
They are shipped carefully packed in professional packaging by insured and traceable shipping.
