Absolutely unique on a global world scale. A complete scene consisting of a hand-painted animation film, a hand-painted nun figure stuck to the background and a hand-painted background (watercolor on cardboard) for the animated screening of Ludwig Bemelmans' novel from the "Madeline" series.
In 1959, Rembrandt Films filmed "Madeline's Rescue", "Madeline and the Bad Hat" and "Madeline and the Gypsies" for educational purposes. The latter two were included in the 1966 film anthology "Alice of Wonderland in Paris". This scene is from an episode of "Madeline and the Bad Hat", which premiered in 1960.
The episode can be viewed in the official archive: https://archive.org/details/madelineandthebadhat#
The works were acquired in Charles Scott Gallery in Los Angeles. I enclose the appropriate certificate issued by the gallery.
