England - 1850-1874 - Silver plated

Beautiful Neoclassical silver plated two-handled urn raised on a pedestal foot. Ornately engraved all over with floral garlands and scrolling fern leaves, the rim is trimmed with a beaded border and the foot is decorated with applied acanthus leaves. The C-scroll handles are also decorated with applied leaf detailing.

Made by the Briddon Brothers, Sheffield, c. 1870's.

Very good antique condition. Wear to silvering commensurate with age an use; the base is slightly uneven.
