African Songye mask worn for important ceremonies. Colours and costumes have a symbolic meaning.
Each part of the face is associated with a determined animal such as the lion, the zebra, the crocodile, or the porcupine, which mask mimics the behaviour.
The mouth is either a bird beak or the fire of a sorcerer.
