Male and female (with child) Akan figures from the Asante Ghana.
Both carved from one piece of wood.
Probably part of a display ensemble of Asante Ntan Figures.
Figures in this condition and quality are hard to find these days.
Beautifull smooth old patination at both Figures.
Both chairs are carved with geomatric patterns.
Unfortunately at the side of both chairs there is some white paint.
I purchased them this way, but it does not stand out.
These pieces are collected in the sixties and for many years part of my personal collection.
