Charles Aznavour, real name (Armenian: Շառլ Ազնավուր) Chahnour Varinag Aznavourian, (Paris, May 22nd 1924) is a French singer, songwriter and actor of Armenian descent, also known as the 'French Frank Sinatra'. Almost all of his songs are about love.

He has written more than a thousand songs and musicals, released more than a hundred albums and played in sixty films. Aznavour sings in five languages and is one of the best known French singers abroad. He has performed at the prestigious Carnegie Hall and other important venues around the world. He wrote over 2000 songs and composed all the music himself.
