Description
Mahogany wooden cake stand or etagere. Leather Inlaid - Edwardian Style England - Circa 1900 - Edwardian Style
England - 1900-1949 - Leather, Wood, Mahogany

Edwardian cakestand

Three plateaus (diameter 22 cm).

The three plateaus are inlaid with dark red leather. This leather is finished along the edges with nice patterns, finished in gold. The leather is in good condition, 1 minor damage at the upper plateau.

Originally the stand could be folded, however, because the hinge of the bottom plateau has been replaced by a fixed piece of metal the stand can no longer be folded. This is easy to fix by fitting another hinge. But the stand now is more stable than when it was still foldable.

The plateaus are nicely shaped.

The mahogany wood has a soft shine and a luxurious look.

In good, sturdy condition.

Dimensions approx. 89 x 35 x 26 cm (height x foot width).
