Porcelain litron teacup with polychrome and gilt decoration. Louis XVI period, later than 1787. On the underside, it has the LSX monogram in iron red for Louis Stanislas Xavier, Count of Provence, brother of King Louis XVI and future Louis XVIII. The manufacture of Clignancourt, located in Montmartre was under the protection of the Count of Provence and was named "Manufacture de Monsieur". It specialised in luxury production in direct competition with the Manufacture of Sèvres.
A beautiful collector's set, the polychromy is beautiful and well preserved as well as the fine gold gilding.
A chip on the edge of the collar and a hair in the collar.
