Olivetti Studio 44 1950s typewriter. Designed in 1952 by Italian industrial designer Marcello Nizzoli in collaboration with Giuseppe Beccio. Manufactured between 1952 and the late 1960s in the Complesso Olivetti (translated: Olivetti Complex) in Ivrea, near Turin, in Italy.
This Olivetti Studio 44 typewriter is also considered to be the rival of the popular Hermes 3000 typewriter.
Please note: The typewriter doesn't function well/supply and needs to be cleaned in order to function properly. For the best type results we recommend that you purchase a new ribbon as well. In vintage condition, with signs of wear which are appropriate for its age.
This typewriter was once owned by Ruys Handelsonderneming b.v. (Trade Company) from The Hague. The logo of the Ruys company is fixed to the protective cover. The fact that the machine was used in an office and had a permanent place there, is probably the reason why a suitcase/protective cover was not used, and why it is not present, unfortunately.
