In 2003, the release of this portfolio in a limited and numbered edition was a real event for all the lovers of Hergé's work. Featuring 9 illustrations inspired by the adventures of the little reporter, this beautiful tribute to Hergé came to fill an important void in the collections of Tintin collectors.
These splendid compositions, drawn in 1944, had a turbulent fate.
Portfolio containing 9 of the 12 illustrations ever published since 1944, the year of the design of what was meant to be a series of coasters and the very first license issued by Hergé. The compositions of these coasters, finally published in secret, were lost to humanity, but 9 out of 12 were found. They are reproduced here in a limited edition of 1,000 numbered copies, in an embossed folder ‘since 1929 - 75’ for the 75th anniversary.
Released in 2003, this portfolio includes an explanatory sheet, a summary of the 9 lithographs and the 9 hand-numbered lithographs N°477/1000.
The set is brand new, complete and in perfect condition, only opened to take pictures.
Rarely found for sale and sold out since a long time.
