Pale nephrite jade bi disk dragon phoenix – China – end of 20th Century

This week we have some good quality jades for sale! All of them with no reserve price!

This Bi disk is a copy of a Song Dynasty original. it shows a picture of the dragon and the phoenix, where the dragon is the symbol of the emperor and the phoenix the symbol of the empress. At the back side 4 characters Long Feng Ji Xiang meaning: Dragon and Phoenix bring auspicious and propitious. Natural colored nephrite jade bi disk in authentic style. Tasted as jade; no scratching possible with hardened steel knife!

About Bi disk: Bi disks were used as a form of communication with the heavens. You hold the disk close to your mouth and through the opening you whisper your message. The message then travels faster and the prayers are answered.

Condition: Only with natural wear. No damage!

Size: Measures about 5,8cm across and 0,6cm thick.

Weight: ca. 48,3 gram or ca. 241 Carat!
