Unique and wonderful handmade Chinese item!

Magnificent handmade Chinese glass 'Shotai Shippo' dish/bowl with gold-coloured gilt edge finish.

With wooden stand

The glass bowl has a wonderful colourful Peony flower decoration made of brass with wire inlaid with enamel.

The technique used in making this wonderful item is also called 'Cloisonné enamel' or 'Plique de jour'.
