As part of the 2020 edition of Pasteurdon, this researchers' blouse customised by Julia Kremer is auctioned. The funds raised will be used to fund research.
Julia Kremer was born in France, lives and works in Brussels.
She graduated from the art school of Cergy and Perpignan. Kremer is inspired by and works the photocopier in the possibilities it gives to recompose by bursting, an image. Its black and white photocopier, summons and invokes a possibility of images and composition whose material seems inexhaustible.
By tearing, assembling, taping and sticking everything that comes out of her photocopier, she constructs monumental images, like large doors open to a world composed of past and future imagining.
Kremer decides to produce a multitude of images and objects that determine and could embrace our gaze, while using the photocopier machine as a production tool whose administrative history becomes a pretext to immerse us in mysterious landscapes made of grain and noise.
