Holy Mandulion icon dating back to circa 1700. The Holy Mandulion goes back on the Abgar legend with as protagonists Jezus and the King of Edessa and his servants. This icon shows a strong influence of the Courtpainter Sjemion Usakov.
Simeon Ushakov 1626 -1686.'

The silver rizza, a work of art on its own and hand hammered an partly gilded, was donated in 1847 to this icon by a pious nun. The engraving under the face of the Redeemer states this. The rizza has old Russian text and the year letter 1847. The icon is more than 150 years older than the rizza.
The Icon is painted on a linen panel with a double polje.
