Baccarat - Silver mounted cufflink box, Marquis crown, around 1860 - .950 silver, Crystal

Description
Baccarat - Silver mounted cufflink box, Marquis crown, around 1860 - .950 silver, Crystal
France - Late 19th century

Rectangular Napoleon III period Baccarat crystal box, solid silver lid, comes from a toiletry set, mid 19th century, circa 1860.

Beautiful model in strong crystal, cut with cut sides, lid in guilloché silver, decorated with a large cartouche in Louis XV style, on which is engraved a crown of Marquis, without monogram.

The lid has the Minerva 1st grade hallmark, as well as a goldsmith's mark.

The set is in excellent condition. There is a small chip the size of a pinhead at one corner, impossible to photograph and totally insignificant in our opinion. A beautiful witness to the daily refinement of the aristocracy during the 19th century.

Length: 8.5 cm
Width: 6 cm
Height: 3.7 cm
Lid weight: 36 g
