Well-designed archaic bronze sword from ancient Greece with a long, thin blade with a raised central ridge and an ibex handle designed to accommodate a wooden or bone insert.



Material: Bronze

Condition: Very good / see pictures.

Date: ca. 1000 - 800 AC

Size: approx. 42.5 cm
Total weight: approx. 495 g.

Definitely one of the finest examples of this type of sword that can be found.

This item was purchased at an auction (VDK Actioneer) in Belgium in 2020.
