Octomore is more than just a peat, it is a unique, true-to-life islay single malt whiskey that has a strong connection with the past, in which small quantities were often illegally heated for their own consumption. Moreover, Octomore has no competition in terms of peat content, not another brand dares or simply manages to get so many phenols in whiskey. More Scottish is hard to imagine in whiskey: the local grain is also germinated here and then malted with self-made peat, thereby forming the unmistakable character of the Octomore.
